Lucky was not the first dog to fail an assessment test and he certainly won't be the last. This must have been devastating to you and your friends. Who knows why he failed the tests or why he was given it the day after he arrived. Maybe you could get a copy of the test results from the SPCA.
I hope that the one who tested him was qualified. Does anybody know what is taught at the "dog-savvy" course and how long the course is?
A lot has been said and written about the Dog Assessment tests. There was an interesting thread on the AAS Message Board in November 2004.

Whether there have been improvements made in how this test is carried out, I do not know.
