Morgan’s Happy Ending

Morgan - a puppy shouldn't have to grow up on a rope

Puppies like Morgan shouldn't have to be rescued from lives on the end of ropes. There should be a law against this in B.C. but there isn't, in spite of Animal Advocates' 10 years of asking municipalities.

Animal Advocates was told by one of our supporters that his neighbour's sweet trusting English sheepdog x chocolate lab, Morgan, had been put on a rope while still a puppy. The compassionate neighbour had socialized Morgan and given him some much-needed love and attention by taking him for a walk every day.

When Morgan's owner said he no longer wanted Morgan and was going to take him to the Surrey pound, the neighbour instantly phoned Animal Advocates and asked us to please take him.

We said yes, of course, to keep him from being put into a concrete cell and possibly sold to someone no better.

We had him neutered and de-flead and found him the kind of family that more than met all of Animal Advocates' high standards.

Pat and Rick and Morgan all got so very lucky as these happy photos show.
