Even Green zone dogs are not safe!

At Burnaby a large group of dogs was transferred from Kamloops last year. Tags was a GSD cross pup who was adopted immediately and returned in the Spring to Burnaby. I worked with him over a two week period and he was great with my son and would roll a ball into your hand when playing fetch. He was killed for having a "high prey drive" after just two weeks. He was just a puppy barely a year old! He was just fine and just needed the right home!

The other problem with Petcetera [adoption centers for SPCA dogs] is that many many dogs are returned [because there is almost no screening]! What happens to them? They end up back at the SPCA! Petcetera has even lost dogs in their care!

This is the solution? I am sick of all the SPCA supporters saying Spay and Neuter is not possible! I bet you could get lots of new vets and older ones to volunteer with some kind of program! It is just not a money making policy. Now any dog that is less than perfect is in danger of being killed to make room for a transferred one.
