Marcie Ryan or the starving cows?

You might be thinking of the dogs seized from long-time puppy miller Marcie Ryan, who the SPCA knew about for years. I think there was two seizures?

Or maybe the cows owned by the female prosecutor near Chilliwack. The SPCA knew about that one for at least a year but pretended it just found out and when it did something it made sure that the TV cameras were rolling. I heard it got $40,000 plus another $25,000 when they sold the cows. And they probably got a court award for board of thousands more. Seizures used to be held just for the fund-raising value, and the animals were returned to the owner after all the hype died down or the animals were killed. Anyone remember the poor golden retriever found in a river near Coquitlam a few years ago with concrete tied to it (I think)?. Big sob story in the media and even though people offered to adopt the dog and pay all bills, they killed it! Hope that's changed!
