Animal Advocates Watchdog

And from another ex-SPCA clinic employee...
In Response To: Tales from the crypt... ()

To Whom It May Concern,

Several years ago, I was employed by the SPCA at the main hospital in Vancouver, and it was a terrible experience. I could only stand it for two weeks before I was forced to quit.

The doctor's all seemed uncaring towards the animals, and were more concerned about their coffee breaks. The staff were rude and unfriendly, even towards the public. Also, I got NO training during my time there.

One thing that stands out in my mind, was the day a man came in to the SPCA hospital with a dog who was bleeding and had an infection, which smelled gross. When he asked for treatment and explained that he had no money, he was told by the SPCA staff that "Sorry, we have no more funds this year to give free help, maybe another vet can help you". The man left with his injured dog, untreated.

This attitude was the standard at the SPCA hospital, and I couldn't leave fast enough. I honestly don't know how anyone can work there, or how the SPCA can say it looks after animals properly.

Sincerely,
B.G.

So now the destruction stat for Prince George is 51%
Does the SPCA just pull its stats out of a hat?
