Faye Kiemele wants her fellow dog-owners to be more responsible. She's not expecting to recoup the $230 it cost to get a wound in her dog's neck stitched up, and she isn't expecting an apology. But she is hoping that the owner of the dog that attacked her blue heeler, Spooky, will be kept on a leash from now on -- and that the aggressive Rottweiler-cross-looking dog doesn't turn on a small child next time. The dog grabbed Spooky Feb. 24 by the throat with its mouth and teeth. "We're trying to get the dog off, and this woman was yelling at her dog. Finally she got her off, " she said. Kiemele has filed a complaint with the Burnaby SPCA and anyone with information can call them at 604-291-7201, quoting case number 16495.

The SPCA claims to put all dogs through its highly scientific test, so what happened in Trail?

Why do nice people want big protection dogs for pets? *LINK* *PIC*
One such as myself...I am an educated, professional woman in my 40's with two teenage children
Jacqueline is typical of many Rottie owners, a nice, intelligent person
I am aware of how many Rottweilers live in misery
But there are few good, dedicated dog owners for even the small, white fluffy dogs
What AAS would do is make it illegal to breed these sad dogs in the first place
The SPCA plays to the cheap seats when it sanctimoniously says that it does not make distinctions based on breed...
We just got another phone call
