The SPCA plays to the cheap seats when it sanctimoniously says that it does not make distinctions based on breed...

...and it is lying on top of that.

The SPCA plays safe and says that Pit bulls are no more inherently dangerous than other breeds, and then it trots out the old idiocy about cocker spaniels bite too. But, as BC's paramount dog controller and disposer, especially of dogs that have bitten, the SPCA almost certainly kills more Pit bulls than anyone else.

Of course it will not admit that. Well-meaning, but uninformed donators believe what the SPCA says - that the only problem is bad owners. They don't know what the SPCA does. Because if they did know what the SPCA does, donations would suffer. It's all going to come out though, so maybe the SPCA ought to start telling the truth before there's another P.R. disaster of its own making.
