Real animal welfarist not only do not make money, they become impoverished because of their love for weak, defenceless animals and because their principles will not let them kill the defenceless.

But the big players in the billion dollar "Animal Welfare" industry know how to make money and jobs.

First - kill the unsellable, the sick, the old, the ugly, the badly behaved, the depressed, and the too common.

Second - keep plant expenses to the bare minimum. Cells, cages, no expensive enrichment, no bothersome walking programs, no rehabilitation.

Third - spend no money on sick animals. If they can't be sold sick, kill them.

Fourth - kill any animals that have not sold quickly to make room for more product. ("Product" is the SPCA's own term for its victims, and if that does not clearly indicate that the SPCA is all about selling, nothing does. It would never occur to an animal welfarist to call any animal "product".)

Fifth - hire people who will kill animals, year after year and teach them teach staff cheap in-house killing.don't teach staff animal welfare practices, health, or ethics.

Sixth - hire P.R. flaks to pull the wool over the eyes of the animal-lovers who trustingly give millions of dollars a year in the belief that it will go to real animal welfare, and who will massage the media so that the ugly truth stays hidden behind the facade of compassion.

Seventh - accept all free product even though a lot of it is garbage that will have to be killed and call this " compassionate unlimited acceptance".

Eight - be rude to volunteers so that they will go away before figuring out what you are really doing.

Ninth - surround and buffer yourself with junk science babble and behaviour tests.

Tenth - surround yourself with impenetrable secrecy.
