And what if it were 60 dogs?
In Response To: Kamloops SPCA to kill 60 cats ()

A very good friend of mine said to me tonight "Jen, what if it were sixty dogs?"

Well, if it were sixty dogs, this messageboard would be drowned in an angry outcry of posts.

Sixty is an appalling number of lives to take. It shouldn't matter what species those sixty are, but somehow it does - to the media, to the SPCA, and to the public. If the Kamloops SPCA had just killed sixty dogs, somehow I think at least one or two heads might have rolled by now...

"We will not turn an animal away"- a great business slogan
A more fitting slogan could read "easy and effortless disposal"
"No Interest" - "No Service Charges" - "Easy Payment Plan" - "After Sales Service"
It seems to me that shelters which safeguard health should be one of the highest priorities
