Will 100% of the cats be killed this time?

"About 60 of 250 cats currently in the care of the SPCA were scheduled to be euthanized", states the news article in this week's paper.

Sounds pretty grim doesn't it? Even more so if the general public were told the bare facts. The Kamloops SPCA can only house approximately 75 cats NOT 250!!

So.....60 of 75 cats in the shelter are being killed? Let's see, that works out to 80%?

I would write to the BCSPCA and ask for clarification, but they never respond anyway. I know that from past experience. Besides, now the numbers on the Kamloops radio stations are up to 80 cats euthanized. Guess the Kamloops SPCA is aiming for perfection at 100%.

Hard to have a two-sided conversation with someone who believes they are perfect.

40, 50, 60... and more? Excess cats are as big a pest problem in most of BC as rats and mice are

A more fitting slogan could read "easy and effortless disposal"
"No Interest" - "No Service Charges" - "Easy Payment Plan" - "After Sales Service"
It seems to me that shelters which safeguard health should be one of the highest priorities
