It's time to write your concerns about SPCA secrecy and lack of government oversight of its actions

In Response To: Animal control officer facing Animal Cruelty charges ()

Write your letter of concern that the BC SPCA is not properly overseen and that there is no recourse for those who the SPCA targets except the courts, which are beyond the financial means of almost everyone who has their animals seized. Also write that no one in government is monitoring the SPCA's actions and that the SPCA must be made accessible to Freedom Of Information requests as are other government agencies.

Government email address are not listed on ministry web sites, so send your letter to AAS at animaladvocates@telus.net and we will fax it to the four ministries.

I've witnessed first hand that it isn't always due to lack of money that SPCA animals don't receive even the simplest of care and monitoring
