Notes: Bojangles came into our shelter on October 29. He was found by the side of the road hiding in a bush. He was lying there all day before a good Samaritan finally stopped to help him. He brought the poor guy to us, where we immediately took him to the vet. X-rays soon reveled (sic) why Bojangles was immobile. In vet terms he has a fracture of the right acetabulum, and the wing of the ileum, as well as the pubis. In laments (sic) terms, his hind right leg and hip was broke good! Bojangles will need to have surgery to repair his breaks. The surgery will cost between $600 and $1000. We have already put $250 into him to diagnose, and treat his pain. We cannot afford to have his surgery done so we are eagerly looking for donations to help save this lovely boy. He is very well bahaved (sic), and even though he is in a lot of pain, he still wags his tail whenever he sees someone, and is very polite in telling you when he is very sore. If you would like to contribute to help this beautiful dog please contact the shelter ASAP.

**UPDATE** Sad news. Bojangles had to be euthanised after his bladder ruptured due to injuries he sustained from being hit by a car. We thank everyone who has donated to the Biscuit Fund, as they agreed to sponsor Bojangles to have surgery to fix his broken bones. Unfortunately we weren't able to get to that point. Please give to the Biscuit fund in Memory of Bojangles so that another worthy animal will be able to be helped.

It's time to call the SPCA to account in the same courts that are being fooled by the SPCA *LINK*
It's time to write your concerns about SPCA secrecy and lack of government oversight of its actions
Time to ask again: BC Legislative Committee considering removing the SPCA's secrecy protection: From the Daum Reports
Daum Report: Is the government, by exempting the BC SPCA from the Society Act, enabling its attempts to withhold information from the public?

SPCA donators - would you rather your money went to save dear dogs like Bojangles, or to lawyers?

I've witnessed first hand that it isn't always due to lack of money that SPCA animals don't receive even the simplest of care and monitoring
