Lorie is advertising her pups for sale as "Rescued" *LINK* *PIC*

Of course, everyone who does real rescue knows how the word "rescued" has been cheapened by people who shuffle pets for dumpers and by people who buy an animal from a pet store or from a breeder, paying full price, and then tell everyone how wonderful they are for "rescuing" the animal.

But this one really takes the cake!

Lorie's pups are being advertised for sale by Lorie's friend as "rescued" pups. The pups were "rescued" by Lorie's friend from Lorie! And if Lorie isn't getting the money or at least a cut, it would be very surprising.

ADOPT FROM RESCUE

After the SPCA finally (after as long as a year or more of complaints and a phone call from an MLA) went to inspect Lorie's dogs and pups, Lorie was ordered to take one pup to a vet. The vet found that that pup was suffering from a staph infection. Lesa Ibarra, of Boxer Rescue, has not been able to find out from the SPCA if all the pups got treated for the staph infection. Lorie's ad says all the pups have been "vet checked" so possibly they have all been treated not just "checked".

This is where Lorie bred and sold pups -- with the knowledge of the SPCA -- for a year or more, perhaps as many as four or more litters.
