Re: 53 Beaverdell Dogs seized by the Kelowna SPCA July 2002
I used to be an officer at the Kelowna SPCA but lost my job due I believe to the fact that my morals didn't allow me to watch those innocent dogs die.
The Kelowna SPCA killed 21 of those dogs (November 2002) without trying to properly rehabilitate them or anything...leaving 22 more for 3 more months in the kennels, one of which, 'Chewy', I love immensely.
After the termination of my job I was granted a measly few minutes twice a week to visit Chewy and my visitation was taken away from me on Monday.
I have since received an email from the SPCA Regional Manager (Bob Busch) stating that Chewy, the dog I want to adopt so badly, will be put to death along with most of the remaining 22 dogs.
These dogs were rescued from a puppy mill to spend 7 months in a cage awaiting their euthanization. Chewy is said to be aggressive, but I am telling you that is not true. They simply do not want to admit I was right about the wrongful euthanizations they did and to do so they terminated my employment and now are going to euthanize Chewy. He deserves a second chance...he deserves to live, and I want him here with me and my family, I am pretty sure it is too late and that they killed him this morning (January 31/03)
