Defending the indefensible

AAS has received some very strongly worded defences of Nanaimo SPCA employee Carolyn, from other breed rescuers.

There are dogs in SPCAs all over BC that are dying and this woman got dogs from the U.S. that are now taking space that could be used for dogs that are going to be killed for lack of space at one of the other branches of the BC SPCA that she works for.

That is immoral in the extreme and very small-minded and self-serving in my opinion. She knows these other dogs are being killed - or she should as it is common knowledge. She does hound rescue, so hounds get space and some dear old dogs, that are nothing in particular, get killed.

How can anyone possibly overlook that in their defence of this woman? What do their minds do with those facts...pretend they don't exist? What about the dogs that die while she uses space for "her" breed? Her defenders do not say.

Contrast these two mandates or missions: Mex-Can Rescue and the BC SPCA
Would you put a stop to this at any point?
