Would you put a stop to this at any point?

AAS was criticized by SPCA defenders of the Nanaimo SPCA's taking of dogs from Mississippi. We asked them these questions:

Would you put a stop to this at any point?

Can you see, logically, where support of this leads?

Logically, any animal welfare organization that says it hasn't the money to house animals humanely, have comprehensive spay/neuter programs, comprehensive rehabilitation programs, and comprehensive staff training in animal welfare principles, for the animals it is mandated to provide animal welfare for, is acting immorally if it takes even more animals from other jurisdictions.

What scant welfare the BC SPCA provides for BC animals is further diminished with every animal that comes into the SPCA system. Unlimited surrender will reach undreamed-of heights if the whole world can get rid of its pets at the BC SPCA.

Contrast these two mandates or missions: Mex-Can Rescue and the BC SPCA
