Are you able to swear that YOU know that the man you name is the person who has abandoned these kittens, or do you know through hearsay?

If hearsay, then I think the law says that only the person(s) who have seen this man leave the kittens at the cemetary, or have been told by this man that he has left the kittens at the cemetary, are actual witnesses. Will that (or those) person(s) be willing to say so?

If the answer to the above is that you know only what you've been told and the tellers aren't going to talk, then can you offer to pay for the spay for this man's cat?
