Story was on Global News 11pm March 23/04

A woman was walking her Golden Retriever at a Vancouver off leash park, when suddenly a Pit Bull appeared and jumped on her dog. It clamped it's jaws around the Golden's neck and it took 4 men about 10 minutes to pry the Pit Bull off. The dog suffered puncture wounds to the neck and is expected to make a full recovery.
The woman who owns the Retriever said "Thank God that was not a child, or they'd probably be dead."

The Pit Bull was taken to Vancouver City Pound, but was later released to it's owner.
