Were these two dogs left for long periods in a yard or if inside, confined to a small space? Were they ever taken to parks to meet friendly people, shrieking children, other dogs? Were they made a part of their human pack, learning human rules of behaviour, or did they form their own pack, only learning basic canine behaviours?
Were these dogs desocialized by too much isolation from humans and dogs?
AAS has been told that these two dogs had been loose at night before, and that they had attacked a dog before. It is not uncommon for a certain type of dog owner to take the easy way out and let their dog run at night.
Irresponsible dog-guardianship has caused 14 year old Shenica White unspeakable fear, pain, and disfigurement, and there must be a law under which these types of owners can be prosecuted and prohibited from owning a dog again.
