In June 2001, AAS gave the City and the SPCA our Report "IT'S TIME!". The City did not acknowledge receipt of our Report, but it held meetings in July with the BC SPCA at which it was decided that the City would let the SPCA "take care of" this issue.
AAS was not told of these meetings, but after we found out about the first meeting we wrote a letter that got us invited to two subsequent meetings.
Lawyers attended these meetings: two from the City, and the President of the BC SPCA, Michael Steven, who is a lawyer, and they all dropped the ball. They all did nothing about the problem of desocialized yard dogs that are prone to attack if loose. If they had, perhaps Shenica White would not be facing years of pain and disfigurement.
