AAS has received another report from a person who, on Christmas Eve, at approximately 10:00 or 11:00 p.m., saw two pit bulls running loose. One was an intact male and the other was a female with full teats.
AAS knows that the keeping of pit bull and pit bull crosses in this area of Vancouver is not uncommon, so it is not conceivable that the City pound and the Vancouver SPCA do not know the same.
The City Pound also told AAS in 2002, when we urged it to ask Council for a ban on back yard breeding in Vancouver, that it wasn't really a problem in Vancouver.
AAS will supply the name of the person who reported this to us if the City requests us to. So far, the City has not made a single response to all AAS's letters to it since the mauling of Shenica White.
